Quad Citians Affirming Diversity (QCAD) brings Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Straight Allies together to build an inclusive community through support, education and advocacy.
What We've Done in 2011 So Far

- Advocacy work with local high schools to assist with formation of Gay/Straight Student Alliances
- 15th annual Gay Prom for local LGBTQ youth
- Fourth Annual LGBTQ Film Fest
- Valentines Gayla: an event to celebrate all types of LOVE
- Bully Teater: to raise awareness about homophobia, the damaging nature of bullying.
- Under the Radar: sponsored an original play about our local history
- Religious Concerns Committee: works to encourage LGBTQ inclusion in local church congregations.
- Host location for One Iowa, and Equality Illinois information forums regarding each group's statewide efforts to gain full equality for LGBTQ people.
- Youth Drop-In Nights twice a week
- Young Adults social group
- Gay and Gray social group
- Spectrum trans-sexual people/allies social group
- Speakers Bureau: LGBTQ people and allies volunteer to speak on issues ofr community social service groups and college classes to increase awareness and sensitivity regarding LGBTQ issues
